First Artwork!

I have been in a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group for several months now, it has been such a great organization to be involved with and I can't express the excitement I have for each meeting. During our meetings Taylor goes to the childcare they provide which is really amazing, her teachers are all so wonderful. When I picked Taylor up on Wednesday they told us to make sure to take their craft, I wasn't really paying attention because I figured they meant the older kids. I looked over and saw a plate with Taylor's name and I can't even express what happened inside! My heart literally swelled up with pride and joy! I am sure she had a lot of help gluing on the food pieces but to see her first piece of artwork was amazing! I will probably preserve it in a ziplock and I am sure it will mold but everytime I look at her little craft I get all choked up inside! I am so proud of her, and was still proud of her as she was picking the food off the plate trying to eat it on the way to the car!

Bathroom Renovations

We finally have our bathrooms complete! Well...I guess complete until someday when we rip up the floor and replace that, but for now I am calling them complete!

You would think with all of the renovations we have done I would learn to take "before" and "after" pictures, one of these days I will remember before we start tearing things out!

I do have before pictures of our bathroom, just imagine pretty much the exact thing in each bathroom and you'll have a great idea of the changes that have taken place!

Family Time

Of course my favorite part about being back in Indiana is spending as much time with my sisters and parents as possible! We had so much fun spending a day in Shipshewana, celebrating Christmas and just being together! Thank you Mom and Dad for spending the week in Elkhart to be near us! And thanks Linds and Chris and Erin and Kordell for everything you all did for us while we were there, we had so much fun and can't wait for our summer trip! We love you all!

Cousin Time

Taylor loved spending time with her cousin Cole! We get on skype with my sister and her family once in a while but it doesn't compare to how much Taylor loved having Cole in person! Taylor has mastered saying "Cole" and has not stopped saying it since we got home! Thank you Cole for playing with Taylor and sharing so many toys with her!

Mini-Zeta Reunion

On our way back up north from Indy we stopped at one of my friends from schools house for a mini-zeta reunion! About 10 of us from my sorority and our families had a very yummy brunch and spent the morning catching up! There were a couple of the girls that I had not seen since I graduated, so it was great to see them and spend some time together! Thank you so much Carrie for hosting all of us and thanks to everyone for coming, we had such a great time!

Congrats Megan and James

The main reason we chose to go back this particular weekend in January is to attend my friend from high school Megan's wedding! Derek and I drove to Indy on Saturday night and had a great time catching up with old friends and seeing Megan on her special day! We had a great night out and are so thankful to my parents for babysitting!!
Congrats Megan and James! We are so happy for you guys!!

Playing in the snow!

I need to catch up on our trip back to IN, so I'll do a couple different blogs to break it up!

Taylor got to play in the snow for the first time on this trip. Last year it was way too cold and she was too little to enjoy time outside. Derek was such a trooper and offered to go out and play with Taylor and Cole in the snow. They lasted a lot longer than I would have guessed...probably somewhere around 10-15 minutes! Taylor couldn't really move with all of her snow gear on and because the snow was probably between 12-18 inches deep. She would just sit and put her hands in the snow and then show us the snow on her gloves. After a little while she realized she could dig in the snow and just kept digging and digging and digging!
