Father's Day Fun

I want to first wish my dad a Happy Father's Day! I am so sad I can't be with you today, but I am really looking forward to spending 2 weeks with you very soon! You are such a great dad and grandpa, we appreciate all you do for us, We love you Dad!!

I wish I could say here at home we were able to give Derek a nice relaxing Father's Day...unfortunately we are still feeling the effects of moving our house around for the new carpet!
We had Derek's family over today for lunch to celebrate Derek, Bob and Greg. Taylor and Bea had a great time playing together today, especially in a box that Grandma brought over! It is fun to watch them interacting and playing together, although sometimes it is more watching Taylor trying to take whatever toy Bea is interested in at the time! We will need to work on that!

Taylor and I would like to say Happy Father's Day to Derek. Derek is such an amazing father and works so hard for our family. Taylor is already such a daddy's girl, and I love watching every second of the two of them together! Thank you for all you do Derek, we love you!

Home Improvements Continue

Saturday we got new and MUCH needed carpet! I was very surprised and impressed with how quickly they did the whole house! I would estimate the installers were here around 5 hours or less. Derek and I had a good time standing in the hallway watching each step in the process. Here are some pictures...I didn't do a great job of before pictures, so unfortunately the one attached is of the living room once we had already moved stuff around.

We love the new carpet and are so happy to have the process complete. Derek and I did a lot of the work before the installers came, we wanted to move a lot of our things on our own....which also meant putting a lot back on our own...we are tired and looking forward to our much needed vacation in a few days! Father's Day Finger Painting

On Friday we had a playdate with Molly and Logan and Sharon and Roman. Molly suggested finger painting pictures for the dads for Father's Day...I thought what a great idea since we were getting new carpet on Saturday!

All three little ones did a great job....Roman gets an award for the cleanest baby! Derek loved his masterpiece that Taylor made for him! It has a place of honor on the fridge!
