Early Birthday Present

Taylor's 1st birthday isn't for another month (and week..and day) but Derek and I decided she should get an early present. She is a big time cruiser and will just walk circles around the coffee table and along the couches all day and night. We thought she might enjoy a walking toy so she could explore other parts of the house while on her feet.
She helped dad assemble the toy...I did hear Derek mention something about it being easier without her help! She looked cute trying to help, that is all that counts! Speaking of cute..Derek thought she needed to accessorize and put her new purse that Grandma Moon just made her on her shoulder!

Here is a little video of her first pass, we have a couple more videos but she crashes in some of them and is going way too fast to catch on video in some of the others! After her second or third try she had already pushed it away and was standing on her own for a short bit! I think we'll have a lot of fun times watching her with her new toy!

Amish Acres

Most of you know that Derek and I had our wedding reception at Amish Acres in Nappanee. It has become sort of a tradition for us to stop on our way back to the airport to pick up goodies to take home with us. We took some pictures this time since Taylor was with us, we loved being able to share a place that is so special to us with her!

Sisters

I had such a great time spending time with my sisters while I was home. My mom was so nice to watch our little ones so the three of us could have a couple of days together! We had a great time going shopping one day and going to lunch and just hanging out another. We also got a couple of nights out where the 6 of us could hang out and enjoy time together! Thanks mom and dad for babysitting so I could spend time with Linds and Erin and Derek and I could have a night out!!

Visitors!

We weren't the only ones that came for a visit to my parents! My Grandparents came for the weekend to spend time with us all! We had a great time hanging out with them and playing cards! Thanks for driving up to see us Grandma and Grandpa!
A few of my friends also came to visit! Christine and Brian Griffitt's and their two little ones Ava and Brady, as well as Christine's mom Joann and the Gschwind's (Carrie, Kevin, Brendan and Drew) all drove up from Indy to spend the day with us on Friday! Even though I only have one picture to show for the day we all had a great time going on boat rides and playing in the baby pool! It was so fun to get to see everyone and watch the kids run around! Thanks so much to both of you for bringing your families and driving all that way to spend the day with us!

Fish, Fish, Fish

Derek, Kordell and my dad gave night fishing a try. They were spear fishing for carp....Erin and I went along to supervise! It was really fun to watch the precision that it would take to get a fish! Unfortunately on their first expedition they didn't catch any, I think they have a better idea of what it takes for next time!

Derek did have a BIG catch another day to make up for not catching any carp! He caught a 17.5 inch Walleye not too far down the channel from my parents house! We were hoping to get to taste his catch but the poor fish didn't make it through the night in the live well. This isn't the best picture, but it gets the point across!

Great Vacation!

We have returned from our WONDERFUL vacation back to IN to visit my family. We were able to go back for 12 days this year which was so nice! We spent most of the time at my parents on the lake...Derek had no problem fishing all day! I'll add a couple different posts with different pictures throughout our trip.
Taylor had a great time riding on the boat.....and helping Grandpa drive!
