Family Birthday Party!

In true Jenn fashion I am going to teach Taylor that there is no such thing as a BirthDAY...it is called a BirthMONTH! We started today with a party at Derek's parents. We thought a kitchen type theme would make great presents for Taylor since I enjoy being in the kitchen and that seems to be where she plays the most.

Bob and Bonnie gave Taylor the Fisher Price kitchen, it is really neat and even "grows" with the child! It has different settings for height and new exciting appliances as it grows. It was a lot of fun watching Taylor and Bea cooking up things in the new kitchen! There is a phone that comes with the kitchen and Taylor of course spotted that first and very rarely put it down (I can't imagine where she would have learned that?)

Alyssa, Greg and Bea helped continue the theme with a shopping cart and food, again I love to grocery shop so this will be something Taylor is very familiar with as well! Taylor was already having a great time putting items in the cart and taking them back out.

Grandma also made a special apple Birthday cake that was made with less sugar than a regular cake. We let Taylor get in some practice for her sugar packed cake she'll get at a later time....she wasn't so sure about the frosting but took a couple of big chunks out of the cupcake....that is after she dropped the entire thing on the floor!

Thanks everyone for such a great day for Taylor, she had a great time and LOVES her presents...I know i'll have a good time playing with them too!
