Happy Birthday Bea!

Our niece Beatrix turned one this week! Today was her Birthday celebration! I didn't do a great job of taking pictures today...so I thought I'd include a "before" and "after"! We love you Bea, Happy Birthday!!!

U of A Game

Derek and I went down to Tucson with our friends the Troyers for the Arizona game yesterday. We had a lot of fun tailgating and watching the game. U of A had no problem securing a victory against Washington State! Not the most exciting game to watch, but we had a great time being outside and loading up on Wildcat gear! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Moon for watching Taylor so we could have a mini getaway!

Halloween Fun!

I am a big fan of Halloween and this year did not disappoint! We started out our morning at the Purdue game watch (a very SCARY sight haha). Our Purdue club decided to have Breakfast Club which is a huge Purdue tradition where you dress up in a costume and go to the bars at 7:30 on game days....we didn't go until 9am, that is game time out here! The club thought it was perfect since it was Halloween, we could dress up and participate and not have people looking at us funny! I dressed up as a bridesmaid and Taylor as a Purdue cheerleader!

After the game we carved our pumpkin! Derek discovered last year how much easier life is when he uses his drill to carve the pumpkin. Last year Taylor was too little to appreciate the efforts, this year she was very interested! Here is a cute video of Derek drilling into the pumpkin and Taylor's initial reaction!

After pumpkin carving of course came Trick or Treating. We let Taylor go to our next door neighbor and one house across the street. She liked when people put things in her pumpkin but she wanted to immediately take them out and carry them. My favorite was across the street she sat down on their front stoop and started unloading her pumpkin (all 2 pieces of candy), meanwhile real Trick or Treaters were trying to get around her!

Pumpkin Patch

We finally got to go to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkin! There is a "pumpkin patch" every year at one of the Catholic churches by us. This year we had such a great helper in finding the perfect pumpkin! She was not interested in taking pictures, as there were too many pumpkins to touch! As you can see we are really getting our use out of the dollar spot leggings! They are just too cute to not have her wear them!

The duck video

I couldn't get this to upload on the other post...probably too much with two videos!

Family zoo day!

Derek took off work today so we could all go to the zoo! Taylor was of course beyond happy to have dad with us all day today! As you'll see in the videos Taylor had a great time with daddy being there, he is MUCH nicer than mom and will let her in the interactive areas! Taylor and Derek had a great time with the goats, I was pretty freaked out. There were probably about 15 goats just hanging out and the kids could just pet them or whatever. I would say her other favorite part was chasing the ducks. "Duck" was one of her first words so she really enjoyed seeing so many at once!

A day at the farm

On Wednesday we went with my MOPS group to a farm in Gilbert. I was a little nervous being a midwest girl to see what a farm in Arizona would be like! It was definitely different that what I grew up with but we still had a good time. The kids got to pick out their own pumpkin to decorate. Taylor was more interested in just picking them up (as you can see from the one picture above she thought they were really heavy) and sometimes licking them, the decorating wasn't on her agenda. After the pumpkin picking we went on a hayride that took us to the animals. Taylor really enjoyed watching the tractor since we were seated at the front of the wagon. The animals were ok, she wasn't too into them as there weren't too many. There was a maze for the kids to walk through and then we had a picnic lunch. After lunch we called it a day, it was still about 90 degrees!
